Your electronics box is bad if you do not see the green light, and may also need replacement if the door opens when the pet is not near it or if it opens randomly when no one is in the room. You might try to adjust the sensitivity settings first, before replacing it. If a setting adjustment doesn’t work, it’s time to replace the box.
You will also need to indicate whether you have a wall installation or a human door installation.
